CA. HARI RAM AGARWAL
Chairman - EICASA & Vice Chairman - EIRC
Dear Future Chartered Accountants,
It gives me immense pleasure to address you for the first time as the Chairman of EICASA through this newsletter. As we step into a new chapter, I am delighted to begin this journey with the guiding theme for the year, “Sankalp se Siddhi. ” The theme reflects a powerful philosophy that every achievement begins with a strong resolution. With determination, discipline, and collective effort, our aspirations can certainly transform into meaningful accomplishments. I look forward to working closely with our enthusiastic student community and dedicated team members to make this year productive, enriching, and memorable for all.
I am proud to share a moment of great honour for our entire fraternity. On 1st February 2026, at WOFA 2.0 during the ICAI Awards 2025, EICASA was conferred the 1st Prize for Best Students ’ Association for the Year 2025. This prestigious recognition is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and tireless efforts of our students, volunteers, and office bearers who have consistently contributed to the growth of EICASA. Adding further pride to our region, EIRC Guwahati was conferred the 2nd Prize for Best Branches of Regional Councils (Medium Category) and EICASA Sambalpur was conferred the 2nd Prize for Best Branches of Students ’ Associations (Micro Category). These achievements reflect the collective commitment and collaborative spirit that define our fraternity. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to everyone who has played a role in achieving these milestones.
During the month of February, EICASA Kolkata conducted a Half Day Seminar on the Union Budget 2026 on 22nd February 2026 at ICAI Bhawan, Russell Street. The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who were eager to understand the key fiscal announcements and their implications for the profession. The session featured CA Ayush Goel, who delivered an insightful analysis of the Direct Tax aspects of the Budget, and CA Manish Raj Dhandaria, who shared practical perspectives on Indirect Tax developments. The interactive discussions helped students connect policy changes with practical professional applications, making the session highly informative and relevant.
Looking ahead, the month of March promises to be equally engaging and energetic with several exciting programmes lined up for our students. On 8th March 2026, we will be organizing the Students Indoor Sports Event at Burra Bazar Yubak Sabha, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between academics and recreation. Following this, on 15th March 2026, a Full Day Revisional Class on Intermediate Advanced Accounting will be conducted at ICAI Bhawan, Russell Street, where CA Avinash Sancheti will guide students through important concepts and exam-oriented preparation, helping them strengthen their understanding ahead of upcoming examinations.
I would also like to encourage students to take advantage of the Annual Membership Scheme of EICASA, which offers a comprehensive learning and engagement experience over a 15-month period. The membership includes access to the Student National Conference (2 Days), all Full Day Seminars, all Half Day Seminars and Workshops, EICASA Youth Fest, and several special programmes conducted throughout the year.
This initiative is designed to ensure that students receive continuous academic exposure, networking opportunities, and overall professional development through asingle membership.
Several more programmes and initiatives are currently in the pipeline and will be announced in the coming days. I encourage all students to remain actively connected with EICASA and participate wholeheartedly in the academic, cultural, and professional activities that we plan to bring to you.
Let us together embrace the spirit of “Sankalp se Siddhi, ” transforming our resolutions into achievements and making this year atruly remarkable one for the entire EICASA fraternity.
Warm Regards,
CA Hari Ram Agarwal
